Canine Companions

Our furry canine friends are more than just pets, they're family, and at Animal Medical Center of Lawrenceville, thy are treated just like they are part of the family.  We know that the vet clinic is the last place most dogs want to be. Because of that, we make every visit, the most accommodating we can.

Starting with our younger dogs, we offer a wide and extensive variety of preventive care. Using collective knowledge of the staff, as well as outside resources like the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), our vets do their best to diagnose and treat ailments in the most timely manner.

  • Preventative care starts early, with the first puppy exam at 6 or 8 weeks. Then, another at 12, and a last exam at 16 weeks old.

  • Yearly exams are recommended for pets under the age of 6 years old, while bi-annual exams are recommended as the pets reach 7 years and older

  • Each compehensive exam is composed of many vital sign measurements.

    • Weight, Temperature, Heart Rate, and Respiratory Rate Assessment

    • Ear and eye exam

    • Cadiopulmonary analysis

    • Abdominal Palpation

    • Dental Exam

    • Dermatological exam

    • Musculoskeletal exam

    • and Vaccines if needed

  • We also provide options for flea, tick and heartworm prevention that can be prescribed on site.

  • Diagnostic testing is also a keystone of our practice, as it lets us determine the health state of your pet, and monitor any necessary values that may need o be treated.
