Before being an AMC team member, Linda, lead receptionist, has worked with pets since 1989 first as a dog walker, then pet sitter, kennel staff, and pet resort manager. Linda has been at AMC for almost 5 years and really enjoys the special interaction she has with the pet parents. She has 4 dogs of her own. Her black lab, Dillon, had over 10 years experience as a working dog with Therapy Dogs International creating miracles for people of all ages, concerns, disabilities and challenges!
Dena, our groomer, earned her master's certificate for show dogs 12 years before she began her career at AMC. She has worked with us for 10 years now and is a joy to have. Dena specializes in unique grooming skills and is wonderful with reading animal behavior.
At 16 years old Bonnie came to AMC as a member of our kennel staff. She worked with us for 7 years and then went on to pursue other goals. Seven years later, she is back at AMC working as a veterinary technician. She loves the deep involvement with your pet's healthcare.
Emma, Technician/Receptionist, started working at Animal Medical Center of Lawrenceville 5 years ago. She enjoys the hands on experience with the animals and one-on-one with the owners. Emma is currently pursing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Ashley, our receptionist, has been with Animal Medical Center for over 6 years! She has over 15 years experience in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant and a receptionist. Ashley has a special compassion for cancer patients. Her cat Cedar, was diagnosed with Fibrosarcoma in November of 2011 and underwent a full leg amputation. She also has a cat named Littlefoot! She was brought to our clinic by a client, she was found on the side of Buford Drive with a temp of 106! Both cats are fully recovered and living the good life. On her down time, Ashley enjoys camping and hiking with her Pitbull/Boxer mix Georgia. Georgia was rescued from the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter and she has brought so much joy to her family!
Yoli, Veterinary Technician graduated from Gwinnett Technical College in 2015, and also has a Bachelors in Biology from University of West Georgia in 2012. She is bilingual in Spanish and English, was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the states when she was 6 years old. Has always had a passion for animals and knew she wanted to follow a career working with them at a young age. She has two fur-babies, a domesticate medium haired cat named Luna and her wild boy Smokey, a mixed terrier.
Spencer, veterinary tech, was brought onto the staff early February 2016. He graduated from Parkview high school in May 2016 and is currently attending GGC. He plans to major in Biochemistry and attend veterinary school afterward. He loves his job because he gets to take care of pets while their owners are away and make them more confortable during a stressful time. Spencer currently lives with his dad and two dogs Karo, a Sheltie/Corgi mix and Sugar, a Flat Coated Retriever.
