Before being an AMC team member, Linda, lead receptionist, has worked with pets since 1989 first as a dog walker, then pet sitter, kennel staff, and pet resort manager. Linda has been at AMC for almost 5 years and really enjoys the special interaction she has with the pet parents. She has 4 dogs of her own. Her black lab, Dillon, had over 10 years experience as a working dog with Therapy Dogs International creating miracles for people of all ages, concerns, disabilities and challenges!
Dena, our groomer, earned her master's certificate for show dogs 12 years before she began her career at AMC. She has worked with us for 10 years now and is a joy to have. Dena specializes in unique grooming skills and is wonderful with reading animal behavior.
At 16 years old Bonnie came to AMC as a member of our kennel staff. She worked with us for 7 years and then went on to pursue other goals. Seven years later, she is back at AMC working as a veterinary technician. She loves the deep involvement with your pet's healthcare.
Emma, Technician/Receptionist, started working at Animal Medical Center of Lawrenceville 5 years ago. She enjoys the hands on experience with the animals and one-on-one with the owners. Emma is currently pursing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Ashley, our receptionist, has been with Animal Medical Center for over 6 years! She has over 15 years experience in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant and a receptionist. Ashley has a special compassion for cancer patients. Her cat Cedar, was diagnosed with Fibrosarcoma in November of 2011 and underwent a full leg amputation. She also has a cat named Littlefoot! She was brought to our clinic by a client, she was found on the side of Buford Drive with a temp of 106! Both cats are fully recovered and living the good life. On her down time, Ashley enjoys camping and hiking with her Pitbull/Boxer mix Georgia. Georgia was rescued from the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter and she has brought so much joy to her family!
Tim, our kennel assistant, has been with Animal Medical Center for about a year. He has a 19 year old Chihuahua by the name of Yoda who most certainly displays the power of the force on occasion. He has been around animals for his whole life. From the age of two, there were dogs, cats, and hamsters galore in the midst of the family. At one point there were even six dogs in his house (an Irish Wolfhound, a Maltese, a Chow Chow mix, and three Chihuahuas [and Yoda is still kickin'])! Even into early adolescence, dogs were a large feature in his life, volunteering through several summers at the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter where his aunt was the manager in charge. Photography and writing are some of his hobbies, which he loves to utilize to provide updates and sweet photos for our friends here at AMC.
Yoli, Veterinary Technician graduated from Gwinnett Technical College in 2015, and also has a Bachelors in Biology from University of West Georgia in 2012. She is bilingual in Spanish and English, was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the states when she was 6 years old. Has always had a passion for animals and knew she wanted to follow a career working with them at a young age. She has two fur-babies, a domesticate medium haired cat named Luna and her wild boy Smokey, a mixed terrier.
Spencer, kennel tech, was brought onto the staff early February 2016. He graduated from Parkview high school in May 2016 and is currently attending GGC. He plans to major in Biochemistry and attend veterinary school afterward. He loves his job because he gets to take care of pets while their owners are away and make them more confortable during a stressful time. Spencer currently lives with his dad and two dogs Karo, a Sheltie/Corgi mix and Sugar, a Flat Coated Retriever.
McKenzie, veterinary technician, started working with us in September of 2017. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Animal Science and plans to attend veterinary school next year. She has always had a passion for animals and can't wait to become a vet. She grew up with many different pets such as cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, and chinchillas. She currently owns a golden retriever named Lily along with two rabbits named Kirby and Nellie.
MaryGrace, kennel technician, started working with us June 2017. She is about to graduate from Grayson High School and attend Georgia Southern University in the fall for Exercise Science. She spends most of her time with her dog, Colt. She loves playing outside with the dogs.
Cassie, Licensed veterinary technician, been licensed for a year. Moved from Nevada 5 months ago. She has 4 cats, 2 dogs, 2 turtles and a salamander.
